There is a cheap clothing dealer of Kearney street, San Francisco, whose confidence jn mankind has received a severe setback. J just wanted tq say that I found thjs five hundred dollar bill sewed in tfye lining. Perhaps the owner may call for it." eOf gorse he vill—he has call alreadty, my tear frendt," exclaimed the dealer, eagerly capturing the money, " You ish von honish man. Here, I gif you feofty tollar ash a reward. Dot vill be all right." When the honest customer got around the craner he murmured I guess J'd better take this fifty and skip up to Portland before that fellow tumbles to that counterfeit, It's getting mighty hard to shove the ' queer' round these parts, and that's a fact,"
