— : —• To the Editor, Sir.—When a question of public interest crops up it is to be sadly regretted it cannot be argued in a more striokly temperate manner. The question I allude to is the irregularity and grosß infrigment of the Horticultural 6'eciety's rules at the late Bhow, the truth of whioh is far beyond doubt as it is freely admitted by the exhibitor of the plant in .question. I simply' V/i'ite this, that truth .may be known, so that parties do-not go on attacking eachother in the dark besides wasting a quantity of valuable spaco in the papers. I am. of opinion the less said on the matter tho sooner mended provided the committee take suoh steps to prevent a recurrence of the like in the future, which I have not the slightest doubt they will do in proper course, D.
