- Divine service was conducted yesterday forenoon and evening in the Presbyterian Church, Masterton, by the.Rev Charles 8, Ogg, pastor, of St, .Andrew's Church, Wellington. The congregation on each occasion was numerous, The able and evangelical discourses delivered by the reverend gentleman were listened to with much attention and apparent interest, At three oclock in the afternoon he couduoted the opening service in connection with the new church erected, at Ojrakij a distance of about nine miles from the Masterton. The attendance was numerous and included persons who had come from a considerable distance who were desirous of evincing their interest in the good work being carried on in the district. The church is a neat structure and will afford sitting accommodation for about a hundred and fifty worshippers, It will, supply a want long felt by settlors of the Presbyterian communion residing in the immediate distriot who are deserving of much commendation for the efforts they have made in this important undertaking.
