ODDFELLOWSHIP.
PRESENTATION TO P.G,M, BiSH,
An emergency meeting of the Loyal Masterton Lodge, 1.0.0 F. M.U., was held in tho Lodge room at the Empire Hotel on Friday evening, there being a full attendance of members, The object of the mooting was to receive the Provincial Grani Officers, who were represented by P.G.M. Pearoe and P,G Secretary E. Bannisteri As a mark of respect (and fraternal remembrance a beautifully illuminated address espresajve of the feelings of the members pf the Masterton Lodge, was presented to Past Grand Master A. Bish, accompanied by a haudsome marble tirnepieoe duly inscribed, The presentation was made by the presiding ■ officer of the lodge on behalf of the whole members. r.G.M.Bro. Bish responded in feeling terms, dwelltog upon the continuous fraternal kindness he had received from one and all, Ho stated that although ho was leaving the district he did not intend severing his connection with tho Loyal Masterton Lodge, and concluded by proposing the toast of''The Queen and' tho Manchester Unity," The district Grand Master presented past prov, Grand Master W. B. Buick with the Past Masters emblem, which high compliment was suitably acknowledged and the second toast of the evening was given to visiting officers and biethren. The District Oflkera responded, (jiving a resume of the district proceedings since their last visit, and congratulating the local Lodge on their strength fraternally and financially. The meeting broke up soon after 10 o'clock. The following is the address to Brother Alfred Bish P.G. We, the undersigned officers of the Loyal Masterton Lodge of Oddfellows M.U. on behalf of the members desire to place on reoord our hearty appreciation of the ability and zeal which you have displayed during your association with the Lojge from its formation, and now that you are about to sever your connection with it we cannot let this opportunity pass without expressing our deep regret at your departure from among us, As a member of our honourable order you have always shown the true feeling of a brother. As an officer you discharged the important duties devolving upon you with credit to yourself and satisfaction to the brethren. We can assure you that wherever you may cast your' lot, the services you have rendered to tho Lodge will always he kindly remembered, and your future success will ever be to us a source of satisfaction.
