[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—OOPYBIGHtJ Reuter's Telegrams. London, October 52. It is announced that the Eight Hon, J, G. Dodson has been raised to the Peerage, The Right Hon, G, 0. Trevelyan, Chief Secretary for Ireland, will succeed Mr Dodson as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, and with a seat in tlm Cabinet, Mr H. Campbell Bannerman, Secretary to the Admiralty, has been appointed to succeed Mr Trevelyn-as'Chicf Secretary for Ireland. The Homeward mails via Suez and Brindisi, dated Melbourne, September 9, were delivered here to-day. Melbourne, October 22, Mr Phillip Klein, proprietor of the flokitika Star, who has been on a visit to this city, died suddenly this after, noon. London, October 21.
