FEATHERSTON TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board was held on Monday evening. Present—Messrs. G. Reynolds (Chairman), Donald, Brunskill, Oundy and Hpdder, . The minutes of the previous meet- ' ing were read and confirmed.
The Treasurer's statement showed a balance of £17119s 9d. The following accounts were passed for payment: -A. Donald, £18; Tait, £8 15b; W, Abbott, £2 6s sd;Beal, £7 110; Total, £33 4s 7d. .. • J& Correspondence, inwards, was' reaßft from the West County Council ,m niaintainance of main road.
From Mr Buckley acknowledging the receipt of a cheque for £lKfor the purchase of land for recimion purposes.

In reference to the letter of.Mr MacShane the Board, having purchased Sections 158, and 160 and are maiing arrangements to purchase'the leamttf the adjoining acre, did; not 'tbins*fc necessaiy to mako any "improvements there until the autumn.

From Property Tax Commissioner re property -belonging to the Board.
The Ranger's and Inspector's report were read and adopted ttnd cash;!ss handed in.
The Poundkeeper's report with a cheqtio for £llos was received. The Collector reported the rates collected at£ll'B 6s.
The Board recommended a progress payment of £lO to A. Donald, , .. It was resolved that the" triaifflrar piece of ground bounded by Fox, Wallace, and Fitzherbert be fencod and planted. The Works .Cointnittoo report was read and adopted, and the meeting terminated,
