KAIWAIWAIV. FEATHERSTON. (Prom the Standard.) We are glad to see that Featherston and Kaiwaiwai have opened the season. The game was played on Saturday last in Mr Williams' paddock at Kaiwaiwai, and may be said to have been a match between the two schools, though on the Kaiwaiwai side several outsiders were, enlisted. W. Viles, Featherston, put together 14 in\ f second' innings and was the only double figures in both innings. For Kaiwai. wai, J, Williams scored 18, W. Williams 22, and W. Goodrich 19.
