CORRESPONDENCE.
GOVERNMENT LIFE INSUB, . ANCE. .
(To the Editor,)
Sir,—Since-1 have been in Maslerton I have more than once had to defend our office against attacks based upon, tho alleged non-settlement of claims, Statements were made to the effect that we had delayed the settlement of particular claims for several months when no valid reason could be assigned for the delay, I have made it my business to enquire into these cases and I find the parties were insured in an Australian office and not in the Government Office as stated to me. As the prompt and immediate settlement of claims, so soon as proof of death and legal claims are established, is a distinguishing feature in our office I shall feel obliged by your inserting this in your valuable paper. fours truly, John Young, Agent Govt Iyife. Insurance Department.
