CRICKET.

A well attended meeting of those interested in the formation of a second cricket club in Masterton was held in the Fire Brigade station last evening, Mr J. Muir occupying the chair. After discussion it .was decided that a club be formed, to be called the " Tradesman's Cricket Club," the subscription being fixed at 7s 6J per annum.

Mr S. H. Wickerson ,was appointed Secretary and Treasurer, Mr W. Perry President, Mr J. Muir Vice-President, and Messrs Wiekens, Ewington, Foy, Bezant, Temple, E, Dixon, and O'Meara a committee, , " Messrs Wickerson and Wiekens were appointed a deputation to wait on the Park Trustees with the Masterton Club and report to next meeting. The meeting then adjourned; ; till Tuesday next. *
