CONCERT AT GREYTOWN.
■ Mr'W, Lundqvist's...concert came off in Greytown on Wednesday evening. The bouse was not a very large one, but tboso preßent Beamed tn thoroughly appreciate the evening's atUHSerasnt., Mr Lundqvist having gone lo cnnsidemble trouble to m«ke it a Bnccess.Thß'.Greyiown Pnvaie Band discoursed sweet 'music outside the Hall, The first item on the programme was the overture to La Dame Blanche by ibo Masterlon String Band, under the leadership of Mr Lundqvist, and received an oncore.. The second-was a snug," The Song of Old England,"-which received a good round of applause. The next harp 8010 by a little girl and fairly brou JR down the house. She was obliged nf respond, when Bhe gave a song which was also well received. A snng by Master V" Thompson, "Razors in the Air," was encored. A duet, violin and piano, by Mr Lundqvist and Mr Kaiseuberg was played in grand style and received a good round of applause. The ntixt item was a song by Mr Black, " The Scout," and ilthough he was net in his usual voice ho iaog very well and received loud applause, aarrowly escaping an encore . , .The May sole Dance, io which some Jen cbildrnn :ook part, was gone through in first rate itjle, and Mr Quick aesenes great credit [or the manner in which he has taught ;hese children. They were obliged to :espond and ijave a country dance. The ' lecnud part commenced with the overture ;o Fra Diavolo by the String Band and of sourso was loudly applauded, The second vas a song by Miss Nicol, " Oh How Delightful." We have never heard this poung lady in better voice, it was really leligMil, and she had to respond, when ihe gave "Apart," and was loudly ipplauded again The third was a cornet wlo by Mr Tierney, " A Coming Through he Rye, and he was obliged to respoud o'the audience', arid gave "TheTilleA , me of Sevy's. The fourth was "« -IjF'! ' Bolero" dance espagnolo by tho two iltle MiBS Corbel ts, and this fairly irought down the house; they had to espond again, receiving a good .round of .pplauae. No, five Jwas a spuit and horus by five boys, who received ,n encore, and-responded by singing 'Close the Shutters, Willie's Dead." 'he 6th was a comic, song by Mr Pap?orth, " Jeremiah Brown," which had to e repeated. Valse Brilliante" El Baccio" y the Suing Band was well leceived and rought the concert' to a close. Mr [aisenberg oresided at the piano in his isual good style, and of course was pprecitted both by the siugeis and udience.
