Osman Digna has been killed, but under what circumstances not slated. London, July 29. The Daily Telegraph publishes a telegram from Souakim stating that the garrison and friendly Arabs at Agig, a town on the coast to the south of Souakim, have been massacred by the rebels. The telegram further states that fully seventeen thousand rebels now surround Souakim, and an attack on that town, is believed to be imminent. Sydney, July 29. Received July 29,10 p.m.—Arrived yesterday morning—Union steamship Tarawera, from New Zealand, News has been received here that the Taiwan, which left Hongkong July 4th for Sydney, has grounded on a reef on the Australian coast. The efforts which have been made to float the vessel have as yet proved unsuccessful. Albany, July 29. The P. and 0. steamship Ballarat, with the inward mails via Brindisi and Suez, dated London, June 27, arrived in King George's Sound this morning, London, July 29. The International Conference on Egyptian affairs will meet again to day and renew its deliberations. There is a very marked difference in the views of the English and French delegates regarding the question to be discussed, | and fears are entertained that an agreement may not be arrived at. London, July 26. Consols have advanced to 100 J. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations. The wheat market is advancing, Adelaide, ex store, is now quoted at 41s, and New Zealand ditto at 34s to 41s, Adelaide flour, ox warehouse, 18s. . Australian Tallow—Beef, average quality, 34s 6d; mutton ditto, 355. . Melbourne, July 29. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports of the local grain market as follows:—Wheat, 4s to 4s o|d. The market is firmer. Malting barley is neglected 'at 3s 9d to 4s 6d, New Zealand oats—feeding sorts, 2s lOd to 3s Id, Prices are barely maintained. Milling sorts 3s 2d to 3s 3d, The market is weaker. New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s 2d to 2s sd. The same company report the sale of a cargo of kauri limber at the following average pricesAt per 100 ft superficial—Hewn logs, 13s to 14s 6d. A firm and active demand was experienced. Sawn flitches are in fair demand at 15s to 16s. T. aud G. flooring—The market is quiet and in favor of buyers.
