GREYTOWN-TUESDAY.
(Before H. S. Wardell, R.M., anjjß Revans, j.P.) Constable J. Eccleton v Thomas Ryan.—Defendant, a hoy about ten years old, was charged with having entered the house of Mrs Phillips, Greytown, and stolen therefrom trinkets valued at £2 3s. Defendant was sentenced to 48 hours' imprisonment,,, and an order was made forbis detentioifj in the St. Joseph's Industrial School, Nelson, until he reaches the age of 15 years. ' Mary Ann and Kate Ryan, sisters of the above defendant, were charged with being children without a home. The girls are eight and seven years old respectively. The Court ordered that the children be sent to St. Mary's School, Wellington, until they reach 15 years old, The father, who was present, was ordered to contribute the sum of 8s each child weekly towards their maintenance. In a civil case C.
