CORRRESPONDENCE
TO THE EDITOR, Sin,—ln the columns of your contemporary of to-day's date appears a letter signed "Curio." who pretends to answer "Enquirer's" questions, but really prefers to avoid them, knowing very well that Mr MqCardlo caunot refute tho accusations brought against him, but thinks that he will catch tho teetotal vote by pretending to bo a consistent good templar, and at tho same time violating his obligation. He will find on the polling day that the vast majority of the teetotal vote will be for Mr G, Bcetham, who if not a total abstainer is a man whose word can bo trusted and who does not pretend one thing and act another. And now a word for " Curio," who is evidently in search of a father, having found ono for "Enquirer" he cannot find ouj for himself as that person is a mystery to him for ever. I am Ac., Goon Templar, Masterton July IG, 1884.
