London, Juno 24, Received June 25, 1 p.m.—ln tho House of Commons last, night the Hon Mr Gladstone made a statement regarding the Convention which has been concluded between England and France regarding 'Egyptian affairs, The Premier announced that it was optional with England to withdraw her troops from Egypt before 1888; that France had repudiated the idea that she desired a renewal of Dual Control or Anglo-French occupation after British evacuation, The Premier further stated that the Conference of European delegates will meet on Sunday (sic) to decide upon the Egyptian financial questions; that the decision thereon will be submitted to Parliament, and failing approval of samo the Government will resian, ' I Paris, June 3, Cholera of a sporadic character has broken out at Toulon, French naval seapoit in Mediterranean, Numerous deaths has already occurred, and panic arisen with result that an exodus of residents is proceeding. Melbourne, Wednesday. It is expected that the resolutions, of the Sydney Convention, which are now beforo Parliament, will be passed by the Assembly without a division. The trial in equity suit, Bell versus Clarke, has been again adjourned. The despatch from EaiiDorby which has been presented to Parliament, expresses regret at the delay in carrying out resolutions of the Sydney Conference. States it is feared it will be impossible to introduce in Imperial Parliament during the present session Bills necessary to give effect to the resolutions,
