The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Council wab held last evening. Present—His Worship the Mayor, and Ors Williams, Chamberlain, Price, Uapper, Hessey, Heron, and Johnston. Nothing further was said; what he stated further was an utter falsehood, and should be received as such ,by the Council P.S.—I send this under a sense of degradation. Still I thought it proper to challenge the falsehoods contained in his report."
