FERRETS AGAIN .
TO THE.EDITOR,' 'V" Sir,—There lias been a'large amount of correspondence lately about ferrets, their advantages and disadvantages. A case of the latter came under my notice this evening. While sitting by my fireside I heard, a row among the poultry, so I took a light, and gun and went out tospfik the camie, ;! 1 was,not long in finding it, for. there.l noble ferret in the act, killing a fine pullet. I soon stopped his little l game by blowing his head off; and I .will serve all lean the same that I catch at my fowl house. Now, sir, I think with a great many others that.turning ferrets loose to forage for themselves should be nipped in the bud and put a stop to immediately, as poultry is a thing that the small settler aiid working class has to look to for a good portion of their living, which, if the ferret is allowed to run at large, will be cut off. This makes fifteen that have been destroyed by them for me this season, and there has been a number of similar cases come under my notice lately. It will be no use crying out bye and bye when all our poultry is destroyed, but we should strain a point at once to keep any more from being turned out. I am &c.," B. Budden.
