At tho Supreme Court tlis morning Watty was sentenced to five years on each of two charges of forgery to which he had pleaded guilty, the sentence to run concurrently with that passed on him yesterday. Amelia Kerr, for robbery from dwelling house was sentenced to 18 months' hard labor. Daniel Sullivan, convicted of forgery, was remanded for sentence ponding tho result of two other charges against him. ! Dunedhj, Tuesday. John Reid, in the employ of Findlay, timber merchants, while measuring timber being landed from the barque Enterprise, at Port Chalmers wharf, was struck by a piece of black pme 14ft long, fracturing his skull. The deceased was 50 years of age, and unmarried.
