About midnight of the same day. Mr W. Alexander, boarding-house keeper, had a very from being burnt down.
Dusedin, Monday. George Luck-hurst was sentenced to three years' imprisonment, concurrent, on several charges of false pretences, and Dr Parry was committed for trial at Kaitangata for manslaughter. Tho charge was for malpractice. The evidence showed that in delivering the deceased of child, he ruptured the womb, causing the intestines to protrude.
