: » ■■ " (MOM otm OWN correspondent). A Library Committee meeting was held on Wednesday last. Present—Messrs Reynolds (in the chair), Fry, Hbdderand Burt. The minutes of the previous meeting were read ami confirmed. - The treasurer's statement shewed a balance of .618 2a 10d, The following accounts wore passed for payment:—Watt, £2 2s M ; librarian, £3lßs Cd; Lyon and Blair, 11 16s 6d; Mr Dutt m, £3 13s Cd (to be left in the hands of tho secretary to settle,) .Resolved-That tho secretary be empowered to sell tho old papers not required, 'and also to arrange with the proprietor of the Standard to transmit the paper through' the post, A meeting convened by tho Rev M. Fancourt, of St John's Vestry, Featherston, was held last' evening, and a resolution was passed that energetio steps be taken to collect all outstanding subscriptions, and appoint a collector for the ensuing quarter. Mr C. M. Brunakljl was unanimously elected churchwarden in die plnce of Mr H. B. Tuckey (resigned). - Featherstun, Maroh 14th, 1884.
