CORRESPONDENCE.
RABBITS.
TO THE EDITOR.. • Dear Sir,-Yoiu- local contemporary has made a grand discovery that ;the rabbits that used to infest the Taueru have at last sought refuge in Vallunce's bush, and the Man«apakelia swamp, and are to be seen there in hundreds,' This is a monstrous exoneration, but it is wonderful what people will see after a race meeting. I came down myself from Tinui after ; darkjast.night, and 1 only saw thirteen •rabbits, throughout the whole journey. ;Jt is patent to every impartial person who travels 'that road that the rabbits are far fewer than they were this time last year. 1 think your contemporary has not yet forgotten or forgiven' the repulse given to the county suspension "agitation in'that direction, and likes to have a hit at anyone up that way. - Anyhow. Yours truly. Pair Play.
