Napier, Friday. A six-roomed house, workshop, and stable were destroyed by fire early this morning in Main-street. The inmates were aroused by. the screams of tbe children,' by which time the flames had a good hold. The family escaped in their night cloths. The brigades were quickly on'the spot, but the fire being in an out of the way part of the town there was no hope of savingihe premises, and the fire had communicated with .the stables and'workshop, which, being but atodiCOnteining inflammable material, were quickly consumed The effwtS of,the brigade
were therefore directed to all adjoining houses. The insurance on the dwelling is £250, furniture £IOO, and the workshop and stable £SO each, in the Victoria offico.
