: . February 2G. At to-day's wool sale the catalogue comprised 10,000 bales. A fair demand was experienced.
February 27. At the wool auction to-day 6800 bales were offered. . The bidding was steady, but without active demand.
Consols remain at lOlf, and New Zealand securities at last quotations, Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 445, and New Zealand ditto at 36s to 425. Adelaide flour, ex store, 30s. Scotch pig-iron has fallen Is per ton; No. 1 f.o.b. in Clyde is now quoted at 455. Galvanised iron, Gospel Oak, packed in cases f.o.b; in London, remains at Llßlos.
MELBOURNE, February 28. Thirty-one horses have accepted for tho New Market Handicap, and twenty for the AustraliaivCup. Mar-tini-Heiiry has been scratched for the latter race.

CHRISTIANS, February 28. Received 29th February, 1.45 p.m. An important State trial was brought to a conclusion here to-day. The Rigsrefc or Supreme Court passed a sentence of deprivation of office upon Herr Selmer, first member of the Government of Norway, who was recently .peachedandimprisonedbysecondChamber of Norwegian Parliament. The Rigsret has confirmed the action of that body and condemned Selmer to pay all costs of tho trial. Wool sales— At to-day's auction, prices steady but demand inactive; Mails via Suez and Brindisi from Melbourne, January 17, were delivered to-day. The cargo of frozen mutton on board the steamship British Kipg from New Zealand arrived in excellent condition, First portion was sold to-day at from s|d ;to -6d per lb.. Mutton'brought from Sydney by steamship Iberia, also arrived in good condition; and the first portion placed on the market to-day realised 4|d to 6d per ib. i
LONDON, February 28. Received February 29tb, 2.30 p.m. —A bag containing twenty pounds weight of dynamite with clockwork mechanisa was found to-day at tho cloakroom of the Charing Gross Railway Station; An infernal machine was also found at Pad'dington railway tlon. These discoveries indicate that a .plot is afotit to destroy .the London •railway terminus. Considerable, alarm prevails in the public mind.' • cairo;' February 28.
