TRIAL OF REAPERS AND BINDERS.

The trial of reapers and binders under the auspices of the N.O.A. and P. Association, took place at. Oamaru, in Wednesday, the 6t!i iiist., on the property of Mr William Easton, Richmond. It is unnecessary to say more about the trial than-that it was the most successful that has been held in the Australian colonies'. The machines of so many different makers hove never before been brought into competition, and no better opportunity could have' been afforded farmers:of judging of their merits by comparison than was afforded on Wednesday. The testing with the dynamometer took-close, upon three hoars to complete. ■• ■ ': It will be noticed that the average number of points gained by the two "Osborne's," ono of which was the winner of the champion competition, and ; the two Of Keid and Gray's, were 157 and 164 respectively, or 7 points in favor of the local make. ,
