RULES ANDIiGULATIONS, To ho run undor the the MastertonOpaki Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on tho-course after each preceding race. Hack Races are open to horses that never .won an advertised race other than Haok Races; or that have not run for an advertised race tor six months previous to date ol meeting. The District Race is open to all horses owned, in the district at least six months previous to this'race meeting, In case of a protest the same must' be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with » deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest bo found trivial or vexatious. Tho winner of tho first day's Haok Race will not be | allowed to run for the ona on the second day. No person will he allowed to onter a horse for any race (Hack Race excepted) unless ho be a subscriber of at least £1 to tho race fund. No scratching of horses .allowed, unless through the Seoretary, and fifteen minutes before the timo of startini;. Entries for Maiden Plate and nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, District Handioap, and Hurdle Handicap to be made in writingand addressed to the Hon, Secretary, Masterton, not later than 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, 'NOVEMBER Bth. Entrance monoy enclosed with name, age at the time of entry, pedigree, and m the ease of handicaps, performances of the horso, name of owner, and colors of the ridor. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 2 bovs. No entries will be received after that night either by letter or telontun. Weights for Railway Plato Handicap,-Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to be declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, at 8 o'clock p.m. ■Acceptances fc same to bo declared on Thursday evening, November 29th at 9 o'clock. Weights for the Distriot Handicap to be declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day's racesAcceptances for same will eloso same evening.
