RULES AND EEGULATIONS. The above races to.be run under tho Lower Valley Jockey Club Bules. with the exception of the two Bteepleuhase races, which will bo strictly run under the Now Zealand Grand National Steeplechase Rules, except whero othei wise specified in this programme. The saddling bell will ring at 11,30 a,m.. and the first race start at 12 o'clock noon sharp, Tho time for starting each event will be duly posted on the courso after each preceding race, In case of a protest, the saino must be letlged with tho Secretary within fifteen minutes alter tho race has been runj with a deposit or 2 sovs, such deposil to' be forfeited if the protest be considered trivial or vexatious.
