GREYTOWN—TUESDAY. Before H, S. Wahdell, R.M. Public Trustee v W, Mitchell,—Claim £2O and interest. Mr Gray for plaintiff. Judgment for £2O lGs Bd, and costs £8 lis. Orbell v John Tully.-Breach of rabbit Nuisance Act. Mr Bunny for informant, The defendant's case was that towards tho end of the year 1878 rabbits began to swarm on the property from Mr Waterhouse's run, and that till September 1879 ten men were employed shooting them, tho number killed up to that date being 35,000. Dining the first half of 1880, thirty men were engaged in poisoning, the rabbits taken in that year wero about 60,000.., In 1881 forty-six hands were engaged in laying poisoned grain, amounting in weight to 5,870 lbs, or 25 tons, and 120,000 skins wore taken, and 600 sheep wero killed through pickine up. poisoned: grain, In 188212 tons of grain were laid, 28,000 skins taken, and 19 men employed. In 1883 to tho end of August 9 tons of grain were laid and 15,000 skins taken, Chas. Tully, sworn, deposed that on the 4th September four men were employed in poisoning; this number had subsequently been increased to seven. The Court inflicted a fine of £5 and costs 9s,- informant's expense's 21s, and witnoas 12s Gd; Constable B, Iraff v John Johnston,— Drunkenness, Fined 6s,
