'(TO THE EDITOR,) Sir,—ln reading yourissue of yesterday I see it contains a letter on the religious service, that was held in the Kurivpuni Public Hall on last Sunday evening. Youv correspondent says service was held by one denomination and had been conducted in tho usual way, and that afterwards it was taken by another party, and kept up till a late hour in a very rowdy character. I would like to inform your correspondent there was no second party, neither was the Service noisy or the least rowdy. The gentlemen who had charge of the meeting were appointed by Mr Isitt, and I am' Sure no one can charge them with tho least irreverence or rowdyism. Of late there has been a great number of rowdies come up from Masterton and made a great noise outside the building, and a week last Sunday they shut the doors and fastened • the people in. Now, we are always pleased to see these young men attending some place of worship, and hope they will behave themselves in future whatever place they may think well to attend. The neighbors have been very much annoyed of late with these young gentlemen, as some of them triod to.pull the shutters down of Miss Jenkins' Bhop.
