RULES AND REGULATIONS, To bo run under the the MastertonOpaki Jockey Club Rules, The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 eacli day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The. time for starting each ovent will bo duly posted on the course after each preceding race. Hack Eaces are open to horses that never won an advertised race other than Hack Eaces j or that have not run for an advertised race tor six months previous to date oi meeting, The District Race is open to all horses owned in tho district at least six months previous to this race meeting, In case of a protest the Bame must be lodged with tho Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winner of tho first day's Hack Race will not bo allowed to run for the one on the Sfcond day. No person will ho allowed to enter a horso for any race (Hack Race excepted) unless he be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and fifteen minutes beforo tho time of starting. Entries for Maiden Plato and nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Slakes Handicap, and Hurdle Handicap t) he mado in writing, and addressed to the Hon, Secretary, Masterton, not later than 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, NOVEMBER Bth. Entrance money enclosed with name, age at the time of entry, pedigree, and m tho case of handicaps, performances of the horse, mums of owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in tho colors entered will he fined 2 sovs. No entries will be received after that night cither by letter or telcunm. Weights for Railway Plato Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to be declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, at 8 o'clock p.m. Acceptances for same to bo declared on Thursday evening, November 29th at 9 o'clock. Weights for the District Handicap to bo declared at tho Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day's races Acceptances for same will closo samo cven : ing, Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the secretary fifteen minutes after tho District Handicap is run. Woights to be declared fifteen minutes after the nominations havo closed; and acceptance will closo fifteen minutes after tho weights have been declared.
