EDUCATION BOARD.

At the meeting of the Board of Eduction to-day it was agreed to advertise for a pupil teacher for th§ Masterton school,
Miss Gunderson was appointed pupil teacher or assistant and sewing teacher at the Mauriceville school. . The Board's architect was instructed .to prepare plans for a new school at Tenui. An offer of a house as a teaohir'a
residence at Waihakeke was referred to a committee; • .
It was agreed to add to the Kaitara school as - recommended by the committee. ■
The report of the Committee appointed to inquire into, the questions at issue between the headmaster and the Committee of the Featherston school, was submitted and adopted. In reference to the Masterton High School, the Rev. Mr Patterson moved that the Board provisionally adopt the regulations and authorise the local Committee to make their arrangements with a view to carrying them out, but that a Committee of this Board be appointed to more carefully, consider the whole matter, to suggest any improvements or amendments that may be necessary, and : to . report at the next meeting, srich committee to consist of the Chairman, Mr Hutchison; and the mover.- This was seconded by Mr Bunny.
