A SERIES OF FIRES. Ihveroaroill;, Thursday. A stock of oaten hay, and a chaff cutter were destroyed by fire on Mclntyre and Jackson's farm, Wynd•ham Valley. The loss is £IOO. No insurance. A threshing mill, belonging to Mr Sheehan, near Riversdale, was burned. It was insured for £3OO. Incendiarism is suspected. The South Invercargill Town Hall was burned down last night. When the fire was first observed it had too great a hold to admit of anything being done. It was insured for £l5O in the Royal. Tho safe was afterwards found unlocked among the ruins and it is believed that nearly all the Corporation records for the'last soven years have been lost together with the valuation roll and ratebooks, Rumours of incendiarism are 'afloat and the police are enquiring;,.
