It is rumored that the cablegram re the Alford Forest diamonds says they are cutting diamonds, of no great value. There is a great demand for the Diamond Company's shares, £5 being paid for shares on which only 12s is paid up. Dunedin, Jane 27. The local Refrigerating Company have received a cablegram from London dated 26th, stating that the Fenstanston's cargo of frozen meat netted £12,000, an average of 6|d per lb.
