SYDNEY, Monday. The two mon Egan and Scanlan, who were recently arrested for robbery from Topham, the contractor for the Sydney waterworks, at Camden, have been committed for trial. £1,500 taken from Topham by the robbers, have been recovered by the' police.

July 2. Captain Shaw, Superintendant of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, fell from a laddei while directing the operations of the firemen in Long Acre last night, and seriously injured his back. It lias transpired that Sir R D. ALEXANDRIA, July 1. Notwithstanding the measures which have been adopted to localise the cholera epidemic, the disease continues to spread rapidly. Several deaths are now reported to have occurred at Eamanhour, a town of 25.000 inhabitants, within forty miles of this city.
