The annual report up to the 31st March last was read and adopted. ; The : meeting then terminated An ordinary meeting wasthen held. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The Treasurer reported a debtor balance at Bank of New.Zealand.of £2lllos Bd. J;'-"-
The following accounts were.then passed for payment:—Paymaster, £93 19s 10dj D. Dick, £4l 19s 6d; H. H. Resolved—That the application con* tained inthe'befdre mentioned memorial be granted, and that; the Board take the nesessary steps for obtaining tho grant. That a book left in the Board's possession by J. Johnston be returned to him.
That a Committee consisting of Messrs Donald, McDougal, and Matthews, be appointed to take what steps they may consider necessary to prevont the further encroachment of the Ruamahunga river on the Lower , Valley road near Waihenga. ( t That a special meeting of the Board be held on Saturday 26th' I -May, at 10 ft.m., for the' purpose of passing a special order to constitute Np, 8 subdivision, and'of passing final* accounts.
