WAIHAKEKE SCHOOL and CHURCH
TO THE EDITOR,-'-
Sir—-I notice in :a. paragraph of your issue of the 24th inst,, allusion is made to the near completion,of,the .Waihakeke ohuroh aud school. I would point out the building about being completed is solely for qchqol pqrpqsaa under the auspices of t)ip ©gcation. Board, Thp committee (with whom reats tho privilege of mint; t}ie school hpiiso for other imposes than that for whiph jt'wpa intended) may, if appealed to, grant an'appljcatipii for church or other ordinary public flsp, At present, I hear, no auoh application lias been made, I believe there is a remote -prospect of a church being built, The i necessary funds, however, have not 1 -sufficiently accumulated to warrant such a desirable edifice being proceeded with;': 1 ; I am, itc'., Cross-Road.
