THE MTIVE MINISTER'S EXPEDITION. 1 Auckland, Ootober 28. The Hon. J. Bryoa'a private secretary, Mr Butler, left by this morning's train tor Waikato, in order to ascertain what Tawhiao and other influential chiefs have to say. The information he sends down will largely determine, the Minister's movements, and these will probably be arranged by Thursday or Friday, Mr Bryco received along letter from Tawhiao in which the latter asked when the promised visit to Waikato will be paid. It is considered probable that the first formal interview between ihe Native Minister and the Natives will take place at the opening of the bridge at Alexandra.
