WOODVILLE.
(from our own correspondent.) I have to report the arrival of Mr David Baillie, hoot and shoe maker, who has determined to commence business here, and I firmly believe he has a first rate chance, as a bootmaker was very much wanted. Several new settlers are getting into tho bush about here, Mr Majadee has purchased 300 acres and intends having 80 or 40 acres cleared by Christmas. Mr :Sturgeßs has also purchased 300 aores, and Mr Thomas: Jackson, late, of Grey, .town, was looking at some sections here, and, I believe, intends settling in this looality. as he states he likes this district far before Fielding, where he is at present looated, ; The new temperance hotel and bake(house is making rapid progress, and will be a commanding feature in the township. Itwill contain two sitting rooms, dining room, bar, and kitchen downstairs, and ten bedrooms, &c.,'on the second floor. It will be kept by a prominent member of the Good Templars.
