AN ACROBATIC VIOLINIST.
There is now in Trieste a musioal wonder whois asUnishing the greatest artists and musical connoissuers. Bit name is Berr Nathan, and he was bora without arms and hands, and he is now giving concerts, playing on the violin with his toes, and when hearing him, one is sorely nuzzled to know whether those exquisite tones are really brought out by the toes and not by the fingeis. Whon thß young artut comes on the platform and has taken his position, he opens his violin case and takes out the instrument, seize-" the • bow, tunes tho violin, and at last pulls »M han.lkerohiol from his coat pooket and ~j wipes his face, all with his feet. Butthe astonishment of his listeners reaches its highest point, when with his right foot he gracefully holds the bow, and placing his left foot on the Btrings of his instrnment begins to play. His expressive iflfting, togetherwith his Bhakos and runs, FqfeW modulations from the softest pian&Mno to the greatest forte, is beyond desw«ln, and is the wonder of the whole musical world and those fortunate: enough to see an* hear him. Herr Nathan intends to give concerts in the various European capitals.
