The Hon, J, G Dodson, President of the Local Government Board, addressed bis constituents at - Scarborough last nifcht. In the course of his apesch he stated-that the British troops-would be withdrawn from Egypt at the earliest possible time, and he averred that the aim of the Government was to secure the control of Egypt for the Egyptians, and to exclude foreign preponderance in the government of that country. (Received 13th October, 1 p.m.) London, October 12. Leonard H, Conrney, M.P., for Lisheard, Cornwall, and Financial Secretary to the Treasury,: addressed hie constituents at Torpoiut last night. In the course of his speech he referred at length to the Egyptian question, and stating hit opinion that Egypt, must be required to defray all expenses attending the tupression of rebellion in that country.
