In order that, the Directors may, atas early a Bible, be in.'a position to allot the " Lady Joceljn's" space, you are requested'to fill in and return the form herewith within one month from this date. The "LadyJocelyn's" carrying capacity is estimated' at about 6,500 sheep (or equivalent in beef) and 75 tons of dairy produce. lam also to express the regret of the Directors that they have been, unable,; upon anything like reasonable terms, ; to secure any further shipping for the coming season, and that they understand the Ohristchurfh andDunedin Companies are in the same position. They have, however, every reason to believe that a direct steam service will be established at an early date, and in order to be in readiness to take advantage of it, they have cabled an imperative order for the immedifite despatch ;of % paalam Freezing'Maoh'ineV |The intention is to have the freezing Works erected on a site on the reclaimed land, near the Wellington Railway Wharf. This it is thought, will best serve the interests of botl? the East, and West Coast producers.'
