FRIGHTFUL ACCIDEHT.
A frightful dynamite accident occured on the night of the sth instant at Bethanga, near Albury, tyew South Wales. An old man, named Charles Baker, bis son James Baker, and Isaac Garter were, working on the night shaft in a quartz' claim. The dynamite being cold, it became necessary to warm it. This isunsally done with hot water, but for aomp reason the water was omitted, and the . dynamite hung iu a- billy: over the forge fire. It is supposed that' a spark from the forgo ignited the material. Anyhow an explosion occurred, Qharles Baker sustained severe wounds about the head, and bid an ear blown away j James Baker's left eye was destroyed, and he was also seriously injured in the arms, ribs, and stomach, the bowels being exposed; Carter sustained over 100 wounds in the le» and thigh, which present all the tho appearance of being riddled with successive discharges af shot,
