A despatch has \ been receiveil. to-day from Sir Garnet Wolseley, timed noon, regarding the engagement fought this morning -iuear; Kassassin; Sir Garnet oef oiia'v.t'hat' the enemy -iti' great force were observed recounoitering the British outposts at day break. Tlia.urder was at once given for them to' be attacked, and after a somewhat hripf eflgagement they; werpiepulßedwith vpryheavy losb, and four guns were captured. The loss bn : our side was slight. After their defeat . the enemy retired to; the lines at Telelkekir, .'their artillery meanwhile firing at, .long range upon the British forces.
