Hall was' brilliantly lit up and gaily decorated .with. .bunting for the soiree.*; The, -floor was. .fe'pbh covered' with patrons of daiioing, over fifty couples being' coarit'ecKaS' preBent. The bright unifprms- of; members of the Brigade and a sprinkline 'of IVolunteer equipments contrasted,' well, with the darker vestments'ef.private* visitors, and the gay, adornments of the fairsex.,-'Mr ; O.! An excellent •band was provided by Messrs Lundquißt, 'Kaisenburg : and Bentley Bros, and the 'affair was from first to last a great success, not a single hitoh occurring to mar the' harmony of the occasion.
