FIRING MATCH.

The match between the Carterton and Masterton Eifles was fired on Saturday, a, the Jlasterlon Eange. Tho weather was very unfavorable for good shooting, but several good scores wore made. The Masterton team was again victorious, making the fifth competition they have won in succession. By a mistake in reckoning the scores on Saturday, iho Carterton men were beaten by 12 points, but by reference to the scores it will be seen the difference is 64. Vol. J. lteid was top scorer of the. day, making 60 out of a possible 75. The following are the individual scores.—

At tho conclusion of the above a private match was fired between Vol. Anketell and Vol, fieid, same conditions, the former proving victorious by,6 points.
