Bulls, Juno 9. Heavy floods in the river ; three spans of the Kakariki Railway Bridgo carried away. Approaches-, to Onepuni Bridge also parried away, and it will take a month to repair at least. A thousand sheep have been lost, besides over a hundred valuable i'ams, pd two hundred fat pigs, besides cattle and horses. ' ■
The Bulls Bridge is standing well) though there is over jour feet,of water o» the approaches, but these are not greatly damaged. Traffio between Bangitikei and Manawatu will have to come liy. this bridge for some time.
No loss of life is reported. River now subsiding slowly,; f
