The Board requested Mr Buchanan to inspect the site offered for a school building at Waihakeke, and £l4 was voted for. repairs to residence at Kaitara. An application from Greytown School for repairs was referred back for further particulars. Tho ■ proposal to establish a girls' high school here was dis cussed by the Board, and a committee was appointed to obtain full particulars.

At the coroner's inquest yesterday, Kitto was committed for trial for the murder of Roggiero, He was discharged from the Luuatic Asylum • in October, 1878, and has since resiled with his family at Miller's Flat. He has not shown signs of insanity since his discharge,
