BY CABLE. London, April 17. Both Houses of Parliament met to-day jor the despatch of business after the Easter recess. In the House of Commons the Right Hon. W. E, Gladstone, replying to a question, stated that the liberation of Cetewayo, and his restoration to his former position'as King of the Zulu tribes, were within the bounds of possibility, if the inquiries which were being made should prove that his re-instatement was desirable, and would bo beneficial to Zuluiand. Trickett has returned from Hampshire and has again gone into training at Putney. AUSTRALIAN, Melbourne, April 18. No further development of small-pox has occurred, and it is hoped that the outbreak will be confined to the ease of Miss Southern, wljioh. was reported yesterday. • Mr J. H.
