• The; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company (Limited) r'port on the produce .markets for the week ending April 13, as followB: '..'.-. . Wool.—There is nothing-doing in this staple. Sheepskins.—The various lots submitted at Thursday's seleß. bore evidence of the recent moist weather, and suffered accordingly. Butchers' green skins realised 2s .to 3s 4d, and 3a lid to 4s 4d for merinos, and 2s 8d to 8s lOd.up to 4s 5d for orossbreds, Country skins made better values relatively. Dry station pelts' fetched 5d per lb, and aljne of salted pelts, was taken at 4s Od'per doz.
Hides.—We did not submit any this week, but we bear of a line changing hands at 4d per lb, all salted. Wheat.—The holidays have somewhat interfered with the course of the market, but there continues' a good, demand for. shipping parcels; and transactions have come under notice at equal to 4s lOd f.Oib. for Tuscan and 4s 8d to 4s 9d for Hunter's and velvet. The quantity, offering is daily diminishing, though it is understood that some large lines are being .Stored for even higher rates..Theposition of the tonnage market has altered greatiy .durfrig the past two weeks, owing to'the charter of several vessels having been cancelled. The shipping hous.esare, however, quoting lower rates than have ruled for some time past, which should lead to greater activity in shipping. Barley is without alteration. There is no large quantity offering,. and buyers seam indisposed; to.meet the views of growers, We quote 4s 4d to 4s 6d for very prime samples; malting, 3s 9d to 4s second quality; and 3s 6d for feed, Oats.—There is less disposition to operate in this grain than when last we wrote, but should the steady advance in Melbourne continue until shipments thence will pay, a strong demand must at once ariße. Quotations are nominally 3s 2d to3a4dfor good feed; 3s 4d to 3s 6d prime milling. Ryegrass Seed.—Very little transpired. in this, and former quotations of 4s Od to 5s f,0,b,, must be repeated, Cocksfoot is firm at 4}d, and stocks are being reduced at this figure,
