SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT NELSON, Nelson, April 4. Mr S. Kingdon, formerly of,the firm of Adams and Kingdon, solicitors, and more recently Begistrar under the Land Transfer Act, met with a severe accident this afternoon. He was sitting in his carriage whilst Mr Kingdon was shopping, when the horse became restive and bolted. The carriage was upset by coming in contact with a telegraph post, and Mr Kingdon was thrown out with bo muoh force that, in addition to receiving bruises, his leg was broken.

The deceased went off by himself, and was not found till his brother, when going home in the evening, saw him hanging. He was quite dead. His feet were only 4 inches from the ground,
