A fatal, accident happened last night of a cab.. ;The vehicle cbljied With'the surplus, earth from a drains which had not been remold,' and the forepart 61 tlie carnage was. completely wrecked. A hoy twelve years old named Charles McLaughlan, who was seated.on.the box,fell off and had his "skull smashed, and'died'in the hospital tliis morning' The cabman was severly :brui6e,(l,-.ftnd the inside passengers-the Kev6."'Fatlier Walter'and Father Garavel (Catholic Priests, and Patrick Darbysustained bruises. As no light was tixed to the mound of earth, ns provided by tho by-laws, it is likely the contractor will bo sued for damages. ■
