Palmer joined Webster and livened the field up a bit by sneaking some short runs, but tho former knocked a very easy one to Williams--9-49-1. Jackson being last man in commenced by putting D'Arcy to leg for four. Webster contributed 3 twoa"and Jackson getting another leg hit clean over the fence for five brought the score up rapidly, tho innings being brought to a close by Jackson being runout—lo-G9 10, being 52 ahead of their opponents. Saywell and Cuff. Both bowlers sent down a maiden. In Saywell'a second D'Arcy got a two hit, but Cuff clean bowled Wickens-l—3-0, Matthews went in and out, bowled by Saywell—2—4—o. Hood took Matthows' place and cut Saywoll's first for one, He contributed three more singles and then was foolishly run out—3-8-3, BJakoly was noxt but only added one, when Saywell found his way to his stumps 4—9— I—. The next man w.is Moore, but ' D'Arcy was shortly aftor caught at point ■by Palmer 5-10-4. Harrison joined Moore, and managed to put. togothpr ,a few runs before the latter'whs bowled: 7-19—6. Webster then went in but immediately lost Harrison who was run out, but the Umpires decision was greatly demurred to 8-19-6. Williams took Harrisons place and things were made pretty lively till Cuff removed tho juniors bails 8-30-7, McKeusrie was next man in but only contributed 2 singles when ho was caught by Say well off Cuff 9-36—2. Fitton was last man in, and immediatley sot to work at Cuffs bowling, ono over producing 1 runs, Cuff at last soattoring Websters stumps 10-43-9, Greytown winning by one innings, and 8 runs to spare.
